Hi, I’m Brent, the creator behind Investing On The Go. I help people Make, Save, and Invest money so they can live life on their own terms.

I don’t just teach finance, I live it!

Funding my daily life through my Brokerage account, Real Estate, and strategic Income Streams.

The Foundation: Discipline and Hard Lessons

My journey began at 19, while I was serving in the U.S. Army.

Working in tech, I was a dedicated follower of the Dave Ramsey “Save” philosophy. While my military peers were spending, I was a “Big Saver,” accumulating cash and bonds.

While I later realized I missed out on early market appreciation, that discipline gave me a “Healthy Launchpad.” When I left the military, I returned home with nothing but a mattress, a TV, and some boxes, but I had the cash reserves to ensure I would never be in that position again.

The Strategy: Leveraging Discipline into Growth

I used my military savings to buy my first 3-bed, 2-bath home.

Even with a VA loan available, I chose to put 20% down to keep my monthly carry costs low, a move that provided the stability to start aggressively investing in the stock market.

A Decade of Growth: Building a Legacy

Wealth isn’t built overnight; it’s built through consistent, disciplined expansion:

• 2013: Purchased my first home and began deep-diving into the stock market to move beyond “saving” and into “wealth building.”

• 2015: Welcomed our firstborn, which shifted my focus toward long-term generational wealth.

• 2017: Expanded into Real Estate, moving from homeownership to investment properties.

• 2018: Purchased my first rental properties, establishing my first true passive income streams. (Or so I thought)

• 2019: Welcomed our second child.

• 2020: A year of “Scaling Up.” I sold our original home, captured the appreciation, and moved our family into a 5-bed, 2.5-bath home to give our kids more space.

• Present: I now focus on “Share Accumulation” and “Brokerage Paychecks,” documenting how I fund my life without a traditional 8–5.
